Bais Yaakov 77th Annual Dinner Journal
Rabbi Aaron Gross DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT Dear Honored Guests, Thank you so much for joining us at Bais Yaakov’s 77th Anniversary Dinner as we celebrate our accomplishments and honor those we admire. Tonight’s beautiful event and its success is the result of hard work, by many individuals. May Hashem bless all of you accordingly. As is true with any davar sheb’kdusha , meriting s’yata d’shmaya and ultimately being successful at Bais Yaakov is in great measure due to the achdus created by the selfless efforts of parents, teachers, and supporters, unified in purpose and collectively committed to the future of Klal Yisroel. Since joining Bais Yaakov, I have the ongoing opportunity to see up close what makes our school the outstanding mossad hachinuch it is. I am continuously impressed by the inspired dedication and professionalism of Bais Yaakov’s lay leadership, executive office leadership and staff, Menahalim, Moros and educational support staff, all working together to ensure our collective success. The exciting sights and sounds of our talmidos learning or engaged in productive activities, all with the requisite simchas hachaim, are a true pleasure to behold any day of the school year. Tonight we proudly honor those who embody the values and ideals of Bais Yaakov. Our Parents of the Year Awardees, Mr. and Mrs. Moshe Boehm , and Kesser Shem Tov Awardees, Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Katz , are role models in our kehilla who modestly represent the values of Torah, Avoda and Gemilus Chasodim , and the future of Bais Yaakov. Their ongoing support of our school and the chinuch we provide is a source of great chizuk and encouragement to all of us. Thank you for partnering with us and graciously allowing Bais Yaakov to honor you this evening. As we focus on our present and future, we must recognize that the achievements of subsequent generations are in many ways built upon the accomplishments of earlier individuals and the foundation they laid for us. With that in mind, we express our hakoras hatov tonight to Rabbi and Mrs. Reuven Savitz , our Avodas Hakodesh Awardees. Having served as our Executive Director (’64-’71) at a time when Bais Yaakov already had 500 students, we are grateful for their role in Bais Yaakov’s success during those years of formidable growth. Baruch Hashem , we have so much to be thankful for. The commitment and dedication of tonight’s honorees to the hatzlacha of Bais Yaakov and its continuing to flourish, serve as the bedrock upon which we will build our bright future. It is a great zechus to be part of Bais Yaakov, and we look forward to accomplishing great things together, b’ezras Hashem , on behalf of our daughters and the role they will play in the eternity of Torah and Klal Yisroel. 13
