ANNIVERSARY DINNER E LKY K LEINER A"H All the words in the English lanuage could not possibly express my gratefulness for our many years of beautiful friendship, but here are just a FEW of the numerous reasons why I still thank Hashem each day for the meaningful relationship I was zoche to enjoy with Elky. 1. Starting back many years, Elky and Shmuel Yaakov made the shidduch of our children, Robin and Jay. Each time I look at my grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who give me so much nachas, I know that none of that would be if it would not have been for Elky's effort and forethought. 2. Years later, the job of being the teacher of the Kleiner children, first the lovely girls and then the lively, pleasant boys. 3. We had actual adventures when I assisted Elky in chaperoning the many activities of the Bnos group in which she was so expertly and passionately involved. A. The time we rented a private beach and the seniors were bringing the food for the barbeque. They were several hours late and we could not contact them. (In the days before cell phones and GPS) B. On a very windy day on Chol Hamoed Succoth, I helped chaperone a boating trip on the Potomac. My canoe capsized from a huge wave and I needed to be rescued! C. Our trips to conventions together were also quite adventuresome. Her caring heart and wisdom dealing with each individual girl were legendary. These are just a few of the memories. There are so many more, that will always live in my heart. I am forever indebted to my dear friend Elky for our times together, whether in laughter or in tears. My forever friend. Love, Leni
