Bais Yaakov Annual Report
8 Judaic Mastery In Chumash and Navi we don’t just learn content, we master vocabulary. That means we’re prepared to start studying with more independence, and more confidence. Along the way, we’re recognized for our efforts, so we understand the value of hard work and perseverance. Growing Personally We receive coaching on everything from handling our classes to maintaining healthy friendships. We learn about middos through our highly focused Kodesh lessons, and collaborate with peers on project committees that bring out the best in all of us. Meaningful Relationships Our principals and teachers share their personal stories, inspirational divrei Torah , and practical guidance for real life in 2019. We spend time with teachers...and they find a million and one ways to show us they care. Community Connections This community gives us so much and we are learning to give too. We host a carnival for our friends with special needs, volunteer for the Menucha respite program, visit local nursing homes, decorate the Sinai Hospital hospitality room, raise funds for tzedaka and help with toy drives. Learning is a Joy Whether we’re at a Science Fair or at a Melaveh Malka , we are seeing lessons come to life. Singing and dancing in the halls during break? That’s just a symptom of our spirited growth. Authentic, caring relationships are what make it possible. Middle School This is where maturing hearts and minds embark on a journey to autonomy. Our students are not only amassing knowledge and building skills but also developing confidence, discovering unique talents, and finding a place as givers in the community. All of this is made possible by our secure & nurturing environment and by the teachers who view every student as a world.
